Health professionals and researchers worldwide recommend that health professionals take into account the needs of the patient and the needs of the family so they become partners in rehabilitation. Family-centered care is acknowledged as the best way of involving family
members.

 

Educational Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to explain the benefits of adopting a FCC approach in their practice.
  • Participants will be able to demonstrate how to adopt a FCC best-practices in their office culture, staff knowledge and training.
  • Participants will be able to evaluate conversations with patients and family members according to FCC best-practices.

 

About Nicole Klutz, Au.D.

Nicole Klutz, Audiology Manager, joined Phonak in 2013. Originally from the east coast, Nicole grew up in Maine and moved to the Midwest in 2009 to complete Graduate schooling at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Nicole is an avid outdoors enthusiast and spends a majority of her free time in the water, woods, or on the road traveling with her two dogs and husband. Nicole also enjoys photography, gardening and baking. As a part of the audiology team at Phonak, Nicole enjoys spending time teaching and training on new products and their benefits as well as continuing to build upon the audiological foundation of Phonak.
