From dress code violators to employees posting about work on social media, managing difficult employees can be a real headache. 

This session covers employer obligations and employee rights as it relates to issues such as religious and disability accommodations, harassment in the workplace, and social media.  Questions such as whether you can enforce your no-tattoo policy and whether you can fire an employee who called out sick but tweeted that they were on the beach (and much more) will be answered during this lively and practical session.

About The Speaker:

Cherie Silberman is an attorney with Constangy, Brooks, Smith and Prophete, LLP, a national law firm that represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law. She practices out of the firm’s Tampa, Florida office. For 13 years, Cherie has handled a wide range of employment litigation matters including defending hospital systems and skilled nursing facilities against wage and hour actions, discrimination, harassment, and various other employment law claims. Cherie has also successfully defended medical practices and healthcare providers before government administrative agencies such the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Department of Labor. Cherie most enjoys working with employers to avoid lawsuits by providing risk management advice, management training, and reviewing and revising employment policies. She has been named to the 2018 Florida Super Lawyers rankings for Employment Law and previously awarded the Super Lawyers “Rising Star” recognition in the area of Employment Litigation four years in a row.
